Meet Tiffany J. Davis, PhD

Dr. Tiffany J. Davis is a higher education leader and scholar whose work endorses culture(s) of respect, inclusion, and justice wherein students, staff, and faculty can thrive, and offers practical applications for educational leaders and administrators to assist in cultural transformation. As the principal consultant and founder of TJD and Associates, she leverages a network of thought leaders, executives, and professionals dedicated to the issues of continuous professional success, retention, client and employee satisfaction, and measurable success and completion.

Dr. Davis currently serves as Clinical Professor of higher education and Associate Dean for Student Belonging and Success at the University of Houston. Dr. Davis’ background includes nearly 20 years of leadership experience spanning academic and student affairs, including administration, supervision, program development, and advising. She does this through consulting, praxis, and research, the latter of which examines two major strands: (1) issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion within postsecondary contexts and (2) socialization and professional pathways for the higher education profession.

Dr. Davis is considered a highly celebrated, regarded, and sought-after higher education leader and scholar who leverages the mastery of these concepts beyond higher education, transferring them to non-profits and community-based organizations, corporations, and organizations committed to continuous improvement. As an external consultant, Dr. Davis welcomes entities of all sizes, including Fortune 100 companies, colleges/universities, and has provided sustained, successful support for programs and projects funded by the National Science Foundation, Spencer Foundation, National Academy of Education, and numerous other entities.
